“I support continuation of the $7 million that the city currently allocates on an annual basis to the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District. If it is decided that more money is needed in the future, and economic circumstances permit, I would be open to discussing increasing the funding and would encourage the district to allow residents access to facilities in exchange, such as athletic fields and auditoriums.”
